Hattie Lou "Pat" O'Quinn, age 81 of Sanford, died Sunday (5/13/2012) at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. She was born on May 26, 1930, daughter of the late Clinnie "Kenny" Laws and Hattie Wayne Crabtree Laws. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brothers Wayne Laws and Colby Laws, Sister Pauline Stevens; and her husband J.C. O'Quinn. She was a member of the Swanns Station Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Thursday at the Swanns Station Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Blackmon officiaiting. Burial will follow in the Cameron Grove Cemetery. Surviving are her daughter Connie Ann Tacia and husband Charles C. Tacia Jr. of Sanford, NC; Son David James O'Quinn and wife Debbie O'Quinn of Broadway, NC; Brother Clinnie "Malcolm" Laws and wife Geraldine of Lemon Springs, NC; Sister Lillie Layton of Sanford, NC; Grandchildren Charles "Chris" Tacia III and wife Shannon, Jason K. Tacia and wife Krystle, Brandy Dunn and B.J. Dunn; four great grandchildren and special friend Elbert Godwin. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
