S mith Funeral Home of Broadway was established in 1968 by Garland E. and Joyce Parker Smith. Garland and Joyce Smith moved to Broadway from Moncure, NC where the Smith Funeral Home began in 1966 by Garland E. Smith, Desmond Smith Sr. and the late Ella Gentry Smith. Today the Smith Funeral Home in Moncure is operated by Donna Smith Oldham. When the funeral home was established in Broadway in 1968 it was located on Main Street and in 1977 the funeral home relocated to 201 First Street. When it opened the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway became Broadway's first and only funeral home and remains that way today. We are in our 45th year of service to families in Lee, Harnett and Chatham Counties. The Smith Funeral Home of Broadway is family owned and operated and is a full service funeral home. We offer traditional funeral services, cremation services as well as pre-arrangments, monuments and life insurance.
